The 'Palm Leaf' Magazine is a yearbook produced annually for Korowa Anglican Girls' School. I submitted

this as the winning a cover design for the magazine. Most of the earlier 'Palm Leaf Magazine' covers had a very traditional design, with many front covers being devoted exclusively to the school crest.

 

In this design, I aimed to introduce a contemporary flair to the 'Palm Leaf' and showcase a more upbeat and stylised version that would appeal to younger generations. I chose the bright coral pink background to reflect the energetic yet feminine sensibility of Korowa girls, and I included the mirrored palm leaf imagery to carry the biblical reference into a modern setting.
